With more than 20 years’ experience assessing market shifts, customer insights, and technology trends as an analyst and marketer, Dave Frankland is now using his expertise as managing director of advisory firm and DMCNY member company Winterberry Group.
Bruce Biegel, senior managing director at Winterberry Group, noted that Frankland’s extensive experience and notable success will play an essential role in helping identify growth opportunities for the firm’s clients. “He is a recognized leader and attracting a talent of his prominence demonstrates the unique capabilities we provide that deliver transformative business results,” Biegel said in a statement.
“I’ve known and respected the Winterberry Group team for almost 15 years,” Frankland told DMCNY. “I’ve always been impressed by their work and their relationships in the industry.”
Frankland is highly regarded in the marketing industry. Before Winterberry, he served as chief strategy officer for Selligent Marketing Cloud and, prior to that, chief strategy and marketing officer for StrongView Systems. Frankland made his biggest market on the industry as a vice president and research director at Forrester Research, where he cofounded and led the company’s customer intelligence research practice.
During his time at Forrester and Customer Helix, where he served as managing director, Frankland assisted countless companies with strategic planning, business development, and customer retention.
“The role at Winterberry is a great fit with my experience,” Frankland said, “from my digital and data experience at DoubleClick, to research and advisory at Forrester, and to strategy and corporate development at Selligent and Forrester.”
Recently Frankland and Selligent Marketing Cloud Director Nick Worth coauthored “Marketing to the Entitled Consumer,” a guide for marketers and businesses on how to build lasting, customer-first relationships, which has gained popularity in the U.S. and Europe alike.
Frankland joins Winterberry Group’s senior leadership team, which, along with Biegel, includes Michael Harrison and Jonathan Margulies, who are also managing directors.
